Hi, my name is “Maryam Pirouzfar”. I was born in “Iran”. I finished my high school in 1986 and I got my bachelor degree in “Midwifery” from “University of Tehran” and my master degree in “Educational administration” from “University of Al-zahra”. I moved to U.S.A in 2001after getting married to my husband. It was a big change in my life because I had to leave my country and my family after thirty years, but I liked these kinds of changes. My husband and I have a beautiful daughter whose name is “Niki”. She is turning four this coming February.
About my experience with technology I confess that I am a beginner, but because I really like to work with computer, I am a fast and good learner. I enjoy taking part into this class because the assignments motivate me to work more with computer and try to find out how to use this technology.
Honestly after reading CSUSM/COE Mission I could not find any special subject different from other universities.” Life long learning”, “Innovative research” and “Educational equity” are in all kind of universities’ mission in the world even in my country, Iran, which is considered as a developing country. So I can claim that I respect to all universities’ missions as they are places for learning more for all human kind and their educational goals.

It must have been difficult to leave your family, friends and country and move to the USA. I think about that when I hear stories of my grandmother leaving Ukraine at 16.
